We were retired and due to ill health sold our large camper and decided that our previous camping days in a VW camper were the most enjoyable and we could go to many more places than in the larger camper.
After trying to locate our original camper we bought two VW's on the basis we would build one good one and sell the other. However both turned out to be very good vehicles and after restoration and a nice holiday of nearly 2000 k's on the West Australian coast we sold one and had nearly completed the second when we found our original camper we had sold five years before.
Nostalgia won over common sense and we bought it. We had had appoaches to buy the second one and after winning Best Kombi at Shannon's Day of the Volkswagen 2002 it sold quickly.
Since then we have many enquiries from prospective buyers and have decided to restore another one as well as working on our own.
We have also established contacts in Europe for those requiring LHD, such as USA, and can put buyers in contact with the right people.
Now recovering from bypass we have sold Darcy who is now in UK with new owners, a young family, who we hope have many enjoyable holidays both at home and in Europe. Update-Darcy has just returned from holiday in France.
